CALABRIA. Tarentum. Circa 325-280 BC. Didrachm or Nomos (Silver, 20 mm, 7.90 g, 9 h), Epa.., Ari... and Kl..., magistrates. Nude warrior on horse galloping to right, stabbing with spear held in his right hand and holding two other spears and shield in his left; around, E-Π-A; below, API. Rev. TAPAΣ Youthful oikist, nude, riding dolphin to left, holding kantharos in his right hand and rudder in his left; above to left, ΚΛ. Fischer-Bossert 930e (this coin, V361/R722). Vlasto 634 (same dies). Beautifully toned and of fine style. Very minor punch on the reverse, otherwise, good very fine.
